In order to deliver a finished product which fully lives up to your expectations, here are a few simple tips which will enable us to efficiently manage and translate your documents:
1. URGENT!
At INTO-NATIONS we have a solid reputation based on our responsiveness. In genuinely urgent cases, we are of course more than capable of meeting the tightest deadlines. However, do not forget that although translators do often work in the evenings and at weekends, the art of translation takes time, and sometimes a few more hours added to a deadline can make all the difference.
Tip no.1: more time = better quality!
2. YOUR OPINION MATTERS TO US!
At INTO-NATIONS we make it a priority to develop long term business relationships with our clients, many of whom have been with us for decades. Your opinion on the quality of our translations is of the utmost importance. This feedback, together with approved versions of the text, is essential as it allows us to:
- Update your organisation-specific glossary in our terminology database. Every company uses their own set of terminology which is particular to them, and which is impossible for even the most seasoned translator to deduce.
- Tell us about your stylistic preferences so the translator can apply them to future assignments.
- Give specific instructions (translation of job titles or acronyms, for example)
- Identify the translator(s) who best suit your needs.
Tip no.2: send us definitive, approved versions.
3. OF COURSE, CONTENT IS CRUCIAL, BUT DON'T FORGET FORM!
In order to ensure that your documents’ formatting remains unchanged and to avoid any ambiguity or oversight, please try as far as possible to avoid documents in PDF format, but instead send us those which can be edited directly (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

4. QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
In certain cases, to avoid any ambiguity in the translated text, our translators may ask us some questions: we naturally filter them and do our best to respond, to avoid bombarding you with them. It will however sometimes be necessary to involve you, if the question relates to vocabulary or concepts which are specific to your company. This is another case where your responses feed into our terminology databases, which means that all translators can use the information, and also avoids us having to keep asking you the same questions.
