For a standard set-up the equipment required for simultaneous interpretation includes:
-
one or more interpretation booths (one booth per foreign language),
-
two interpretation consoles per booth (enabling the interpreters to select the right channel according to the source and target language),
-
infrared emitters used to emit signals throughout the room,
-
infrared headset receivers for the participants who can select the language of their choice,
-
an amplifier and a mixing console,
-
depending on the conference venue, further sound installation may be required: table microphones, collar microphones, roving microphones, loudspeakers and so on.
If need be, Into-Nations can also provide you with digital interpretation equipment. Digital equipment offers optimal sound quality and is the solution of choice for open-air installations. |
